Christian Pulisic has yet to play a competitive minute under new AC Milan manager Ruben Amorim this season leading to frustration for the U.S. Men’s National Team star. Pulisic got a delayed start to Rossoneri preseason training after suffering a microfracture in his leg during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. However, the 28-year-old has made his way to Amorim’s bench in each of AC Milan’s opening three Serie A matches, despite not featuring in any of them. AC Milan opened its season with victories over Torino and Venezia before tying Juventus in a key rivalry showdown last weekend. The Rossoneri are preparing to take on Lazio this weekend and Pulisic will be hoping to make an impact if called upon. Amorim revealed on Friday that Pulisic should feature in the match on Saturday, stating that his lack of minutes should fire a spark under the veteran attacker. “I think you guys are going to see Pulisic; I don’t know if he is going to start or he’s going to get on the pitch [from the bench],” Amorim said Friday during his prematch press conference. “I think he’s going to play at least a few minutes now and I like Pulisic.“Pulisic is upset at the moment because he has zero minutes, and I love that,” Amorim added. “I love that in my players. But he’s ready to play. Let’s not forget he had an injury, then in the first training he had a knock, and he stopped a little bit and returned.”Pulisic registered double-digit goals in each of his first three seasons in Italy but hasn’t found the back of the net for AC Milan since December 2025 in all competitions. A return to action for Pulisic is key, especially with Milan’s Europa League campaign kicking off next week, and the USMNT’s first post-World Cup window coming in two weeks’ time.
