International tennis and a great atmosphere await as Marsa Sports Club hosts Malta’s upgraded M25/W35 tournament from 26th October to 1st November.Following last year’s resounding success, the Malta Tennis and Padel Federation (MTPF) is raising the stakes, upgrading from M15/W15 to M25/W35 for what promises to be an unforgettable experience for Malta’s tennis community.The 2025 event also earned the Federation an award for excellence from World Tennis, recognising its achievement in hosting international tennis.These tournaments offer spectators the chance to discover players heading towards the biggest stages. Last year’s Malta finalist Toby Samuel subsequently reached the Eastbourne ATP semifinals and won his first Grand Slam main-draw match at the 2026 US Open. Petros Tsitsipas, already an ATP doubles champion, also competed in Malta.“Last year was special because of the quality of tennis and the community’s support. Watching players progress from Malta to the US Open makes that experience even more memorable,” says MTPF President Dr Marc Gingell Littlejohn.“This year’s upgrade reflects our ambition to raise the standard and inspire young players. We invite everyone to come along, bring their families and experience professional tennis up close—you might discover tomorrow’s star.”Hosted at Marsa Sports Club, Malta’s largest sports club and one of its most attractive sporting venues, the tournament offers a welcoming setting for tennis enthusiasts and newcomers alike.A tennis open day on Saturday 31st October will invite the community to discover the sport, before the finals on Sunday 1st November bring the week to its climax.Entrance is free for everyone throughout the week, including the open day.
