Christian Pulisic assists once in first AC Milan appearance of season

Christian Pulisic made his first appearance under Ruben Amorim on Saturday and walked away with his first goal contribution in the process.Pulisic registered his first assist of the new Serie A campaign as AC Milan tied Lazio 2-2 at the Stadio Olimpico. It marked Pulisic’s first club appearance since last May as he was an unused substitute in each of the last three matches. Lazio used goals from Matteo Cancellieri and Tijjani Noslin to grab a 2-0 first half lead but AC Milan would come roaring back after the hour mark. Both Pulisic and Yunus Musah entered the fray at halftime and Pulisic would have a vital say in the final scoreline. Pulisic’s cross from the right wing in the 65th minute was finished off by Diego Moreira to help trim the Rossoneri’s deficit. Pulisic created a match-high four chances, completed two dribbles, and won two duels in the match. The 27-year-old will now look to earn his first start of the new campaign as AC Milan hosts Benfica on Thursday in their UEFA Europa League opener.
