Longtime owner and breeder Bruce Lunsford passed away Sunday at the age of 78. The passing was first reported on twitter by Kentucky radio host Terry Meiners.Among his Grade I runners, Lunsford raced Madcap Escapade (Hennessy), winner of the 2004 GI Ashland Stakes, and was co-owner of First Samurai, winner of the 2005 GI Champagne Stakes and GI Hopeful Stakes.
