NIKE: EVERYONE is Bearish, thats why it is Bullish (PLAYBOOK)NIKE, Inc. Class BBATS:NKEKingsii13In my last Nike post, I gave two scenarios for the formation of the macro bottom — both ultimately looking for confirmation of the larger bullish PO3 range toward my $80 technical target. Since then, something interesting has happened. The herd consensus was already extremely bearish with JP Morgan Downgrade for NKE. And somehow, it just got worse. Nike is now being removed from the S&P 100 on September 21, after almost 18 years in the index. Important distinction: Nike is not being delisted from the stock market or removed from the S&P 500. But from a sentiment perspective, it’s another brutal headline for an already beaten-down stock. Within my framework: Bearish herd consensus: +1 S&P 100 removal / another wave of negative headlines: +1 Fundamental sentiment score: +2 for the contrarian long thesis. Nike is trading near multi-year lows after an enormous destruction of market value, while the narrative increasingly sounds like: Nike is dying. The turnaround failed. Nobody wants the stock. And this is where I start asking a completely different question. Who is on the other side when everyone wants out? Think about market mechanics. If a very large participant wanted to accumulate serious size, they need liquidity. They need sellers willing to hit bids. Fear, capitulation and negative headlines can create exactly that liquidity. And Nike is currently sitting inside what I identify as the manipulation deviation of a macro PO3. At the same time, there is a massive volume increase Now, I cannot prove that this volume represents a “market-makers scaling in.” Public volume data doesn't tell us that. That's my interpretation of the structure, not a fact. But the question remains: Why is volume increasing while price sits exactly where my macro model is looking for accumulation? That is what interests me. Mistakes happen. Companies go through ugly cycles. Nike clearly has real problems to solve. But a struggling company is not automatically a dead company. And sometimes the ugliest narrative appears exactly where the most interesting asymmetric opportunities begin. My roadmap hasn't changed: Extreme Fear → PO3 Manipulation → Macro Bottom Formation → Confirmation → Expansion → $80 TT You now need to see an aggressive BOS for it to confirm the model. No confirmation = no trade. But if one of the two scenarios from my previous post completes? I don't want to be panic-selling Nike with the herd. I want to know who was willing to buy from them. News can create liquidity. And this is not the end of Nike.
