Alex Greenwood says Manchester City are "going to give it absolutely everything" to try and win the Women's Champions League this season.City were absent from last season's campaign, but they are back in the competition following their Women's Super League title success in 2025-26.Andree Jeglertz enjoyed a stellar first season with the team, and they have started their title defence in equally fine form, having won all three of their league games so far.But their attention now turns to the Champions League, and they will begin their campaign away to Bayern Munich on Tuesday.City are given the fourth-highest chance of winning the Champions League by the Opta supercomputer, though their 9.1% win probability is significantly lower than outright favourites Barcelona (41.2%).Greenwood insists City have their eyes on the trophy, though."To qualify was massively important; it's an expectation that we have at this football club," Greenwood told UEFA's website."But every competition that we play in, we're there to win."We know it's going to be a challenge, but it's fantastic for the club.
