On September 21, the Indian Coast Guard executed a nighttime operation to rescue a crew member from MV AMRIS. The crew member suffered severe head and spinal injuries after a fall onboard the vessel. ICG Ship Rajdoot successfully embarked the injured crew member despite rough sea conditions. After evacuation to Diglipur Harbour, the casualty was airlifted to Sri Vijaya Puram for medical care.
