I worked at Chipotle and today I was bagging while my GM was on cashier. It was busy and everything was coming through really fast. Some customers apparently left with an extra bowl and tortillas that weren’t theirs. My understanding was that the cashier was supposed to confirm everything the customer was paying for, and then I would bag/check the order. My GM was literally the cashier and didn’t say anything about them having extra items, so I bagged what I thought belonged to them. We only realized what happened when the next customer was missing their bowl. Somehow I ended up getting blamed for it, written up, and told to clock out. I’m not saying I couldn’t have caught the mistake too, but I don’t understand how it was put on me when I wasn’t the one ringing them up and the GM was the cashier. This also wasn’t just about this one situation. I’ve felt for a while that my GM has been extremely unprofessional and, to put it plainly, a dick in the way he talks to and treats me.
