Patil Nagar in Koppal. The incident, which was captured on a CCTV camera, has triggered concern among residents over the increasing presence of monkeys in the locality.The deceased has been identified as Nazamunnisa Begum.According to the available information, the elderly woman was walking in the compound of her house on Saturday when a monkey suddenly approached and attacked her. The animal knocked her to the ground, causing her to suffer a serious head injury.CCTV footage shows the monkey suddenly jumping towards the woman, after which she falls backwards onto the ground. A woman who rushed out of the house after noticing the incident was also attacked by the monkey when she attempted to help the elderly woman.The animal fled after people from the neighbourhood arrived at the spot.Nazamunnisa Begum was taken to a private hospital for treatment. Though she initially appeared to be recovering, her condition subsequently deteriorated, and she succumbed to her injuries.The CCTV footage has since drawn attention to the incident and the concerns of residents over the monkey menace in the city.
