He has previously said he was approaching a "big decision" on whether to intensify military action against Iran.The US president also called for continued international pressure on Tehran, while thanking the UN Security Council fo an overwhelming vote condemning Iran's attacks on commercial shipping."I want to thank the UN Security Council for voting overwhelmingly to pass a resolution condemning Iran’s despicable terrorist attacks on commercial shipping.That resolution, I am pleased to say, received more co-sponsors from UN member nations than any Security Council resolution in history. Now, we must be equally united in maintaining pressure," he said.Trump then invoked the September 11, 2001, attacks in the US and the October 7, 2023, attack in Israel while making the case against allowing Iran to develop a nuclear weapon."In America, we just marked the 25th anniversary of the worst terror attack in history, September 11, which killed 3,000 people a few miles from here.
