Five belonging to inter-State gang held in Kannur - The HinduUpdated - September 21, 2026 09:37 pm IST - KANNURThe Kannur City police arrested five Uttar Pradesh natives reportedly belonging to an inter-State gang that was allegedly planning to carry out burglaries across Keralam.The arrested are Sameer, Mohsin, Mohammed Sajid Ansari, Mohammed Sahil, and Monish, all from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh. The police said that several members of the gang were facing theft charges.A special team under District Police Chief (Kannur City) Vijay Bharath Reddy conducted search at a lodge in Kannur on Sunday (September 20, 2026) night and arrested the five men.
