Use “I” statements to express your feelings and agreement.Non-Verbal Communication: You learn to maintain eye contact, use open body language (don’t fold your hands; instead, try to lean toward the speaker), and match your tone to your message.Story continues below this adCounselling psychologist Srishti Vatsa added that communicating in a language that is easily comprehensible, choosing your words carefully, and paying attention to your body language and tone of voice can also go a long way.“Withdrawing or becoming defensive in conversations might be normal- notice when you are feeling defensive and address the thoughts and emotions that are coming up.
