Hey, Podcast apps have worked the same way for about twenty years. You follow shows, and hope they cover the thing you care about. You can't follow a topic, because there's nothing to follow. I run Pod Engine, a podcast data API, so I have all of the transcripts to hand. scoop.fm is the side project on top of it. You give it the people, companies or topics you care about, and each morning you get one page of what podcasts said about them, with the show, the episode and the quote. The bit I didn't expect is how much of it is discovery. The trackers I run myself have heard 1,680 different shows since 19 August. The video has one of them: a private equity podcast with a former Tesla exec talking about the pace inside the company. I'd never have subscribed to that show in a million years.
