Atrocities against Dalits: Madiga leaders condemn incidents, demand strict action - The HinduPublished - September 25, 2026 08:10 pm IST - YadgirExpressing anguish over rising incidents of caste-based violence, discrimination, and untouchability across various districts of Karnataka, including Yadgir, Madiga leaders have strongly condemned the incidents and criticised the State government for failing to curb such atrocities.Addressing a press conference, Hanumanth Itagi, former CMC member and Madiga leader, said that Dalits were subjected to atrocities and killings in Lingsagur and Gursunagi in the Raichur and Yadgir districts.”The State government and Home Department should ensure the safety of Dalits from such repeated attacks.
