Malta’s entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 has officially landed, with 11-year-old Beppe releasing Blue Bird today.The song is now available across all major streaming platforms, while its official music video is set to premiere at 5pm today.Blue Bird centres around finding magic in the simplest things, listening to your heart and feeling connected to nature, a message Beppe says makes the song particularly meaningful to him as he prepares to represent Malta“It feels really cool knowing that a song I helped create is going to be the one I sing for Malta at Junior Eurovision,” Beppe said.“I hope everyone loves Blue Bird as much as I do!”And Beppe didn’t just lend his voice to the track. The 11-year-old was also involved in the songwriting process alongside Matt Blxck, Matthew James and Muxu.The song was composed by Matt Blxck, Matthew James and Muxu, while its lyrics were written by the trio together with Beppe.With less than a month to go, Beppe will get the chance to perform Blue Bird on home soil when Malta hosts the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday 24th October at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali.Have you listened to Blue Bird yet?•
