Recently been playing with a lot of the functions that local ai model has to offer, such as web browsing, image recognition and more. (visual graph) I came to the conclusion that i wanted to create my own local ai model that contains skills/tool that allow user (me) to learn things easily through visualization and so on. The rough idea i sketched out on my book was having my local ai model to extract the documents or pdfs provided by the user, conduct research using a search engine (searxng docker), then examine the workflow. After that it splits the notes or information into many chunks so it doesn't get overwhelmed by the amount of documents, the stuff that worries me the most is incorrect information or hallucinations Next, the ai could either create these (using skills/tools installed) such as -flash cards -multiple choice questions quizzes -a mindmap -notes -discussing about the document specifically, giving hints if user is struggling (might need to code myself) i prefer mostly visualization notes instead of fully text based notes, even if its regular note taking, i would keep things simple. I also thought about this like a few minutes ago but the ai could maybe guide me and help out to create my own study schedule? Im really bad at managing my time. creativity- i heard about obsidian and i could maybe plan things out there? Not sure haven't gave it a go but should be priority after setting this up (ill figure this out myself) You might be wondering yes im getting inspiration from google notebooklm but im thinking of setting up a local version for personal use and summarization. Every documents/pdf/notes should be stored directly on the system files As you can tell by reading this, i kinda prefer Ui over terminals like pi. Since everything are set up cleanly. I also prefer quality instead of quickly spitting out the answer without initial plannings. But if its genuinely slower than the average reading speed, uh yeah might reconsider switching down For now, im going to start over from scratch so previous errors wouldn't interfere or cause errors. I have tried llma.cpp, deepseek harness, opencode, hermes agent (quite heavy on my hardware) and pi I have played with qwen3.8 27b unsloth iq3\_xxs(12tps aggresive configuration) main model i've been using is qwen3.6 35b a3b MTP unsloth q4\_k\_m (37tps at best) my setup is: rx6700xt 12gb vram r5 5600x 32gb ddr 3200 (2x16) 200gb of storage should be good to go Appreciate any help from the community thanks yea Tldr; starting from scratch with previous trial and error, hoping to improve the learning environment.
