Save The Nation submits memorandum to Joint Parliamentary Committee - The HinduPublished - September 26, 2026 10:59 pm IST - MADURAISave The Nation (Nattai Kappom), a Madurai-based confederation of Civil Society Organisations, has submitted a memorandum to the Joint Parliamentary Committee examining the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026.In a press release issued by Save the Nation, its convener C.J. Rajan and co-convener A. Santhanam said they recognise the legitimate objectives of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010, including transparency, accountability, proper utilisation of foreign contribution and prevention of misuse of funds.At the same time certain provisions of the proposed Amendment Bill have consequences that extend considerably beyond regulation of foreign contribution.
