Anthony Joshua has shared an email from the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) asking for Tyson Fury’s whereabouts to start testing.It comes after Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, revealed last week that Fury should have enrolled in the drug testing programme by now, as per the terms of AJ’s deal.Joshua and Fury are expected to meet on December 11 in CardiffAFPJoshua nor Hearn have accused Fury of any wrongdoing, and there is no evidence that he has broken any rules.Hearn believes it is simply a case of contractual discrepancies, whereby Joshua’s deal lays out that he and Fury must undergo testing as soon as their respective agreements are signed, but ‘The Gypsy King’s’ deal does not.VADA confusionRegardless, the situation appears to have confused the VADA president, who has sent an email requesting Fury enrol in the voluntary anti-doping programme.A screenshot of the email was shared on Joshua’s Snapchat story. It reads: “Is Mr. Fury going to enroll? Typically, we enroll opponents at the same time. “We also need the whereabouts form to enroll either fighter.” Joshua captioned the screenshot: “I’m not accusing TF [Tyson Fury] of anything”.Differences in the separate agreements Joshua and Fury signed with Sela have already resulted in the fight changing locations and the date being pushed back by a month.Sela and Netflix were initially planning to stage the fight at New York’s Madison Square Garden in November, but the bout now appears to be heading to Cardiff on December 11.That is because Joshua has it written into his side of the deal that the fight must take place in the UK, a clause that was absent from Fury’s terms.Fury is yet to enrol in drug testing for the fightGettyJoshua shared a screenshot of an email from the VADA president to his Snapchat storyHearn told assembled media on Saturday that the same issue has likely proved a stumbling block when it comes to drug testing.“The drug testing protocol was the same as what has always been in there,” said Hearn.“It wasn’t adhered to in its form.
