Roy Keane has refused to apologise to Andy Robertson for calling him a ‘big baby’ following an altercation with an assistant referee. Whilst at Liverpool in 2023, Robertson claimed he had been elbowed in the throat by linesman Constantine Hatzidakis during a 2-2 draw with Arsenal. That Robertson, I’ve watched him a number of times. He’s a big baby. That’s what that guy is.“Just get on with the game and concentrate on your defending. He does grab the linesman first.”Unimpressed, Keane went on to repeat the word ‘baby’ in a hilarious reaction which had Jamie Carragher, Gary Neville, Micah Richards and host Dave Jones in stitches – and it’s regularly found online to this day.Keane meets RobertsonNow, more than three years later, Robertson and Keane came face-to-face and revisited the notorious incident.The former Liverpool defender, who currently plays for Tottenham, was a guest on the latest episode of The Overlap alongside Keane, Ian Wright, Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Jill Scott.After the incident was brought up on the podcast, Robertson admitted the incident had been ‘something over nothing’, before Keane shared the reason behind his frosty reaction.Keane remarked: “Players have to remember, and this is not an apology, when in the studio, we can have long days can’t we?
