Bank Strike September 28: UFBU has said its proposed nationwide bank strike from September 28 to 30 will go ahead after a conciliation meeting with the Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner remained inconclusive. The unions, which claim to represent around 90% of bank employees, are primarily seeking a five-day banking week, along with pension and dearness allowance reforms and an option to switch from NPS to OPS.
