Hey folks, We are looking for a senior technical contributor with strong experience in monitoring, observability, networking, and automation to help evolve enterprise monitoring capabilities across infrastructure and application environments. Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining monitoring solutions, alerting systems, dashboards, and service-health reporting. Strong understanding of observability practices across logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerting, and incident response. Ability to evaluate technical alternatives, provide thought leadership, and guide technical direction. Proficiency with TDD, Agile development, and iterative delivery methodologies. Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills. Experience with enterprise network monitoring, network operations, network observability, or related infrastructure disciplines. Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, SNMP, ICMP, routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, VPN, and WAN connectivity. Experience monitoring network devices and interfaces, including availability, latency, packet loss, bandwidth utilization, capacity, and reachability. Ability to design network-focused dashboards, alerts, escalation workflows, and service-health views. Experience collaborating with Networking and Incident Response teams during complex, service-impacting events. Familiarity with network-monitoring migrations, platform consolidations, tool evaluations, and proof-of-concepts. Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing: Establish and maintain SLOs, availability, performance, reliability, monitoring coverage, and observability standards. Monitor platform and service health and implement improvements to reliability, performance, alert quality, and operational stability. Lead observability architecture and technical solutions across Elastic/ELK, telemetry pipelines, monitoring platforms, dashboards, alerting, tracing, synthetic monitoring, cloud infrastructure, and networking. Evaluate monitoring/observability tools, integrations, architectures, and emerging technologies while defining reusable standards and reference patterns. Develop and maintain monitoring automation, IaC (Terraform/Ansible), monitoring-as-code, CI/CD integrations, and cloud-platform automation. Build scalable monitoring capabilities covering logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerting, visualization, and telemetry collection. Reduce manual operations through automation and self-service observability solutions. Improve alert quality by reducing noise and establishing clear ownership, escalation paths, and actionable runbooks. Lead or support high-severity incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis using telemetry and operational data. Develop network-monitoring standards and dashboards covering availability, latency, packet loss, bandwidth, capacity, device health, routing, and reachability. Partner with Networking, Cloud, AppDev, Security, and SRE teams to ensure monitoring coverage and connect network telemetry with application and customer-impact signals. Support the migration from OpsRamp to the selected network-monitoring platform, including requirements, design, testing, validation, and operational handoff. Collaborate across teams to prioritize observability improvements and deliver cohesive monitoring solutions aligned with evolving business and technical needs.
