I guess I will be the minority in this group. I don’t know what forum it is that people go to ask for help but they must be out there I guess. i have never came across them so I only speak of what I see gets reposted here. I understand that there are many entitled people out there and sometimes their audacity is jaw-dropping, but damn I feel that most responses are so negative and judgmental. No one ever knows what a person is going through behind closed doors nor how your words can negatively impact them. For those that ask without the intent to deceive others, it takes a lot of bravery and vulnerability to ask for help. I don’t understand why if one doesn’t want to help or can’t help why they just can’t move on without posting judgements. I grew up being told that if you have nothing nice to say to not say anything at all. I still do my best to follow that and I consistently say the same to my adult children. I am not perfect though. Just because you have the freedom to say something it doesn’t mean that you should. I get that some people are infuriating and it takes so much to hold one’s tongue. I’ve been there many times but to go out of ones way to put someone down or scold them because you deemed their request as insufficient is in my opinion mean. I really don’t mean to offend anyone but maybe just provide a different perspective of sorts. I see how so many people treat others and it is disheartening. It’s funny, growing up, i had all this hope and excitement for adulthood and it seems as though there is so much hate in the world. People love to hate more than they love to love. It breaks my heart and makes me feel a little hopeless for us.
