Police cordoned off Spinola Gardens in St Julian’s this morning following the death of a 31-year-old Moroccan man, with investigators spending the morning examining the scene. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lovin Malta (@lovinmalta)Photos from the area show police surrounding the gardens and restricting access as investigations got underway, while separate images show the 27-year-old Polish man arrested in connection with the case.Police said an argument had allegedly taken place between the two men shortly before they received a report at around 6.30am that a man was lying lifeless in the gardens.The 27-year-old allegedly left the scene but was arrested around an hour and a half later near St George’s Bay following an intensive search, with CCTV footage helping police track him down.The victim has since been taken to the mortuary, where an autopsy is expected to establish the cause of death. Magistrate Joe Mifsud has opened an inquiry, while police investigations remain ongoing.The incident marks the second suspected murder in Malta within the space of a week, following the killing of Miriam Azzopardi in Marsa earlier this week.•
