Exactly!! When I was 10 (so more than 30 years ago), my parents took our family of 4 to Disneyland Paris (we‘re in Europe). We drove there for 12+ hours in an old camper bus from 1976 and slept in the camper. 😅 We wouldn’t eat inside Disneyland because everything was super expensive. We made ourselves breakfast in the morning and prepared every single meal ourselves (with groceries bought from the supermarket). I remember we had to get out of the park to eat because they wouldn’t allow to bring anything (they even checked backpacks at the entrance). We were only allowed to bring something for my little brother who has celiac disease, which wasn’t super well known in the 90s, so there were no foods labeled as "gluten-free". As kids, we had the very best time regardless. Sleeping in a nice hotel and eating out was not important - we were at Disneyland after all. 😃
