430K followers on Instagram, but Reddit has taught me more about my product

Wait 5 sec.

I have around 430K followers on Instagram, but most of that audience follows me for visual content. Since I started talking about my app on Reddit, the numbers are obviously much smaller - but the conversations have been much more useful. People question the pricing, onboarding, retention, features, and even whether the product should exist in its current form. Instagram gives me reach. Reddit has been giving me product feedback. I'm starting to think those are two completely different kinds of audience value. For founders using both, have you noticed the same thing? submitted by /u/wonderday_maker [link] [comments]
