I’m a mobile developer and I started building Eatinerary as a side project because I had a very simple problem: I could save restaurants in Google Maps, but months later I often couldn’t remember what I actually ordered, whether I liked it, or what I wanted to try again. So I built Eatinerary. The idea is to create a personal food diary where you can save restaurants, individual dishes, photos, ratings and notes, and later find everything again by city, cuisine or dish. I’ve also added things like restaurant lists, friends/public profiles, achievements and a community Explore section. The app is completely free and currently available on iOS and Android in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. I launched it with basically no audience and I’m currently at 157 iOS downloads. Android is around 100+, although Google Play Console is currently showing incorrect install statistics. Most users so far have come organically through short food videos and recommendations. I’m now trying to figure out how to grow it outside Spain. If you like trying restaurants or travelling, I’d love to know one thing: Would you actually use an app to remember individual dishes, or is saving the restaurant itself enough for you?
