A 55-year-old woman is at risk of dying after she was trapped between a van and a wall in Għajnsielem, Gozo, earlier today.Police said the incident happened at around 4.15pm along Triq ix-Xatt, when a 27-year-old man from Xewkija was driving a Citroën Berlingo.Preliminary investigations indicate that the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a wall, trapping the woman between the van and the wall.The Chinese woman, who lives in Qala, was taken by ambulance to Gozo General Hospital, where she was certified as having suffered life-threatening injuries.Magistrate Monica Vella has launched an inquiry, while police investigations remain ongoing.•
