Veteran musician and Afrigo Band icon Moses Matovu was allegedly attacked following a dispute involving a woman in Kibuli, according to eyewitness accounts.A local resident who witnessed the incident claimed that the man who attacked Matovu first confronted and beat up a woman before turning on the veteran musician.According to the eyewitness, the suspect then punched Matovu, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground. The woman involved has been identified by residents as Rose Tumusiime, a resident of Kibuli.A boda boda rider, Menya Chris Frank, who rushed Matovu to Kibuli Hospital, has also given an account of what happened.Chris Frank said he found Matovu shortly after he had been struck and immediately put him on his motorcycle before taking him to hospital for medical attention.Residents alleged that the confrontation may have been linked to a dispute over the woman who was reportedly with Matovu at the time.
