After a box office opening to the new NFL season, Week 2 was much grittier with eight teams scoring single-digit points. Still though, we were treated to a couple of primetime thrillers and two major upsets. Here are our NFL betting tips for Week 3 – we believe two winless teams will get off the mark this Sunday! The Los Angeles Chargers were perhaps the last team expected to find themselves in an 0-2 hole after starting with home games against the Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders – who only won three games apiece last season. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers – who were the favourites to reclaim the NFC South title before the season started – are also winless, having come unstuck against the Cleveland Browns at home.Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals built on excellent Week 1 wins by downing another high-calibre opponent this week. The Bills enjoyed the ideal housewarming party at their new Highmark Stadium – scoring 41 points on the Detroit Lions – while the Bengals scrapped their way to a 20-6 victory in Houston, featuring a jaw-dropping Ja’Marr Chase touchdown grab. With the league beginning to take shape after a pivotal Week 3, Midnite’s signup offer for American football rolls on – you can catch £30 in free bets when you bet £10 on any NFL market, if you haven’t already created an account. It’s another packed schedule this week and we’ve picked out three teams – two of whom are desperate to kickstart their season – who may have a favourable matchup. NFL betting tips for Week 3Back the Houston Texans to get into the win column against the Indianapolis Colts – 8/13 with MidnitePick the Cincinnati Bengals to get to 3-0 against the Pittsburgh Steelers – 1/2 with MidniteTip the Tennessee Titans to defeat the New York Giants on the road – 11/10 with Midnite Back all three teams in a 3-fold acca for combined odds of 4.08/1 with Midnite Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans predictions – Texans favoured in 0-2 battleIt has been an almighty struggle for the AFC South teams so far – they have just one win between all four of them! In fairness, both the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans – who meet this Sunday in Indianapolis – have faced perhaps the top four quarterbacks in the sport. The Colts improved on a poor outing against the Baltimore Ravens to take the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes to overtime on Sunday Night Football, but were eventually beaten 33-30 after an exchange of field goals. The Texans, meanwhile, have been bested by Josh Allen and Joe Burrow – the offense kept up with Buffalo in Week 1, but couldn’t find the end zone at all against Cincinnati.Despite the Colts taking a step forward and the Texans taking a step back, the visitors are regarded by most betting apps as the more likely to earn their first win here. Why? The Colts defence has already given up over 1,000 yards in just two games – which is 114 more than anyone else. Of those, 706 have been through the air – the most in the league. But it hasn’t all been to quarterbacks – they’ve also allowed the second-most yards on the ground too. Derrick Henry rushed for 144 yards against them, Kenneth Walker III rushed for 117. The Texans, surprisingly, rank third in passing yards and C.J. Stroud has the most pass attempts of any signal caller in the league through two weeks. That trend could be set to continue, but they could also boost running back David Montgomery’s numbers – who scored three times on his debut for the team in Week 1. Back the Houston Texans to win their first game of 2026 against the Indianapolis Colts at 8/13 with Midnite Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cincinnati Bengals predictions – Bengals to pull clear at 3-0The Cincinnati Bengals are Super Bowl contenders as long as Joe Burrow can stay healthy. Unfortunately for them, that hasn’t been the case the last two seasons and they’ve missed the play-offs entirely as a result. With or without their franchise quarterback, however, they have typically been slow starters. Not this time. Cincy are 2-0 having taken down the Buccaneers 33-27 and ground out a 20-6 victory in Houston this past weekend. The Steelers, meanwhile, are 1-1 and have only scored 16 offensive points so far – certainly not what many hoped the remarriage of QB Aaron Rodgers and coach Mike McCarthy would look like. The underlying numbers show this not to be a fluke either. Their five yards per passing attempt is the lowest in the league and Rodgers has only completed 58% of his passes. They also rank lowly for rushing yards and yards per carry. It’s been a tough watch. Ultimately, they needed a sensational T.J. Watt pick six to secure their win against third-string QB Cooper Rush and the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1.It’s not often we can say this but the Cincinnati defence could be enough to win the Bengals this game, let alone the offense. They’ve shown marked improvement on that side of the ball, with the headline stat being the four forced fumbles – all of which were recovered – against the Bucs. Considering the pick six thrown by Burrow in that game, they only gave up a respectable 20 points on defence. They followed that up by holding Houston to a mere six points this past week, and no touchdowns. On offense, star receiver Ja’Marr Chase made up for a quiet first outing with a seven-reception, two-touchdown performance in H-Town – one of which will be up there for catches of the season! He recorded a sensational 16 catches in the first of the two matchups with the Steelers a year ago. Going 3-0 here would put the Bengals in the driving seat in the AFC North. Pick the Cincinnati Bengals to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1/2 with Midnite New York Giants vs Tennessee Titans predictions – Brian Daboll revenge win?Our third team to watch this week are the 0-2 Tennessee Titans, who go on the road for the first time after losing at home to the New York Jets and the Philadelphia Eagles. They put up a much better fight against the birds – who stole it with nine seconds left – after a miserable outing in Week 1.They go up against the New York Giants who already find themselves in ‘scramble drill’ after MRI scans revealed that Jaxson Dart’s knee injury is much worse than the team initially thought. The young QB was forced out of the Monday Night Football game against the Los Angeles Rams on the opening drive, and may now be out for the season. Jameis Winston will start this game in his place, and if his performance on Monday is anything to go by, the Titans should be favoured by the bookies in this game – but they’re not, at the time of writing. Winston completed just 11 of 27 passes for 111 yards and threw one to Trent McDuffie of the Rams. Without Dart, the running game was also easily stifled. Cam Skattebo fought tooth and nail for just 36 yards off of 12 carries. The Titans are still very much a work in progress on offense under new coordinator Brian Daboll – the former Giants head coach. Second-year signal caller Cam Ward has just 323 passing yards so far, which is the third-lowest total in the league. He scored both touchdowns against the Eagles with his legs. They could edge this one in what is likely to be a low-scoring game. Much to the relief of Falcons fans, and the national TV audience over in the States, Michael Penix Jr is back from a partially torn ACL. The defending champions of the AFC South and AFC East meet in Jacksonville with the Jaguars taking on the New England Patriots, both at 1-1 after comfortable home wins coupled with narrow away defeats. The Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens – also both 1-1 – look like being the biggest draw in the late Sunday window.Sunday Night Football comes from Denver as the AFC West champions – the Denver Broncos – host the Los Angeles Rams. Both teams bounced back from their dismal first outings in Week 2. The week’s action concludes in Chicago, but the hosting Bears may be fielding Tyson Bagent in place of Caleb Williams – who exited the game against the Minnesota Vikings with a hamstring injury, and is being assessed week to week. The Philadelphia Eagles fly into the Windy City. What other betting markets are available for NFL games? The tips provided above are our moneyline picks for the week, but you can also bet on the ‘spread’ (handicap). The sportsbook will assign the favourite of each game with a margin (of points) they think they’ll win by – you can back them to ‘cover’ and win by more or back the underdog. If doing the latter, you don’t need them to win the game, you just need them to keep the game closer than that stated margin. This helps bettors find extra value in games that are considered lopsided! You’ll also find numerous player props available – such as touchdown scorers, passing yards, rushing yards, etc.2. How often do underdogs win?Every week! Naturally, however, some underdogs are only listed as such by a one or two-point margin, others could be double-digit outsiders. Instances where these teams win (not just cover the spread) are much rarer.3.
