Beacon records, transcribes, and then shuts up. The only time it speaks is when a theme has come up on three separate days — then it names it, once. How the restraint is enforced (for the builders): Each entry is broken into topics with their trigger and emotion, then embedded A nightly job clusters topics across days; a theme needs 3 distinct days, not 3 mentions At most one generated reveal per person per night, for the strongest candidate only The model is allowed to abstain — if the evidence is thin, it returns nothing and the app stays silent No chat, no streaks, no daily notifications I regression-test the silence as hard as the signal: eight synthetic journals where one bad night, two-day themes, and unrelated weeks all have to produce zero output. Free tier is unlimited recording plus permanent read access to everything you record. Paid adds search, calendar and export. Your entries are never locked behind the paywall. What I need: a few short entries over 3–5 days, then tell me whether it stayed quiet when it should have — and whether the thing it eventually said was worth the wait.
