Over the last few weeks I shipped three small tool sites. Everything runs in your browser, so files and numbers never leave your device: - PDFOtter (https://pdfotter.app/?ref=reddit): merge, split, compress, rotate, images to PDF and back - PixOtter (https://pixotter.app/?ref=reddit): convert, compress, resize, plus an AI background remover that runs locally - ToolOtter (https://toolotter.app/?ref=reddit): 33 tools. Mostly UK money calculators (take-home pay, stamp duty, income tax, mortgage, VAT) plus text and dev utilities The bet: people want the convenience of the big PDF/image sites without uploading their files to someone's server. It's all static hosting, so running costs are close to zero and I can keep it free.
