A Wisconsin family farmed the same West Bend land since 1847, with George Muth the fifth generation to work the fields. On 18 September 2026, bulldozers demolished the old barn as the site, at Paradise Drive and River Road, was cleared for a new housing development. The project is expected to bring about 400 multifamily residences, ending nearly 180 years of Muth family farming and altering a once-rural corner of Washington County.
