There was a post going around today with the LaLiga stat leaders in 20 categories and what stood out to many was Raphinha's efficiency: 12 goals from 16 shots on target from 25 shots; nearly every 2nd shot is a goal. Now fbref has this data (goals per shot) for the last 10 seasons for the Big 5 European Leagues. Goals per shots on target data goes even further back but to be honest I find that much less interesting. It benefits a player's efficiency stat if a shot by him misses the target? I am not having that. Taking a minimum threshold of 10 goals in a season to be included gives Raphinha 26/27 already legitimacy to get in.
