Tentative funeral and burial arrangements for legendary Afrigo Band singer Moses Matovu have been announced by Ssalongo Kamoga Mwavu Takwana, following a family and clan meeting.Speaking to the press, Ssalongo Kamoga revealed that the family has agreed to lay the celebrated musician to rest on Friday, September 25, at 4:00 PM in Kyanja.The announcement puts to rest earlier reports suggesting that Matovu would be buried today, Thursday, September 24.According to Ssalongo Kamoga, the clan convened to deliberate on the appropriate arrangements and subsequently settled on Friday for the burial.After the clan meeting, we’ve agreed that the late Moses Matovu will be laid to rest tomorrow (Friday) at 4PM in Kyanja. There were announcements earlier indicating that he was to be laid to rest today, but as the clan, we’ve clarified that.Although Matovu was a Muslim, Ssalongo Kamoga explained that the family, together with the Afrigo Band fraternity and fellow musicians, is considering arrangements that will allow the public and his fans to pay their last respects.We know very well that he was a Muslim, but certain norms change in religion and tribes.
