A $110,000 Alberta-bred Olympiad filly topped the Alberta division of the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (CTHS)'s yearling sale, held Friday, Sept. 18. The sale registered increases in gross sales, average, and median.Out of Buy Me a Rose (Violence) and offered as Hip 12 by Highfield Investment Group as consignor, the topper was bought by Newtown Anner Stud Farm.“We're hearing good things about what's happening with racing here in Alberta,” Newtown Anner's Hanzly Albina told sales officials. “[The] future of racing looks very promising in Alberta and we are very excited to participate.”Overall, 74 yearlings sold for $$1,119,200, a 10% jump over the 2025 edition. Average was up 8% to $15,151, while the median of $11,750 was up 17.5%.
