My side project crossed 7,000 GitHub stars. Having demo videos ready made it easier for people to share.

Wait 5 sec.

I built /brag, an open-source Claude Code skill that turns projects into short launch videos. I posted it here a while ago, and it just crossed 7,000 GitHub stars! When I launched /brag, I used it on itself. I put the videos it made on the site, alongside other demos and assets. When creators and influencers picked it up, they could show the result right away instead of trying to explain what a video-making skill might do. I think that played a big part in finding an audience. The goal is still to make projects easier to show, but models keep changing what’s possible. I’ve just released /brag-slim for Opus 5.5. It keeps /brag’s creative rules for making a short, clear video that shows the real project, while letting Claude handle more of the production: visuals, audio, and render. I made its demo video with /brag-slim too :) Thanks to everyone who shared it, starred it, contributed, or made something with it. Have you tried /brag? I’d love to see what you made.
