Hey Reddit Artists!! We're the W.A.R.M. team! W.A.R.M. is a D&D-based video game project in the early stages of development. As we expand into our more publicly facing phases, we have begun to look for an artist to help establish the game's visual identity. We are a remote team from all over the U.S. and are African American and LGBTQ+ led. We are looking to shake up this area of the gaming market and truly do something different! This is a high-potential project in an untapped growth space, but we're looking to maintain a casual relationship with our project, so this is not a role with a huge-weekly commitment. About the role: This role is built to be a relatively small hourly commitment per week, and we are looking for someone who wants to have fun with the creative process rather than jump into a super formal work environment. Ideally, this will be an artist whose work on this project could potentially lead to a founding role on the team. The artist role will likely look something like: Paid Test > Founder Artist Role Offered > Kickstarter Launch, but we are flexible to the needs of each person of interest. The budget for this paid test is $100 (USD). Scope of Work: A 3D, claymation style key art piece of the game highlighting its core features 90 minutes of meeting time to discuss game art direction and implementation We are looking for someone who has the ability to produce: "CLAYMATION- STYLE" ARTWORKS - This does not have to be, and maybe shouldn't be, literal claymation, but rather some sort of 3D rendering that appears like claymation, though we are flexible with the approach. An ideal candidate will also have some knowledge of graphics software (Blender, Maya, etc.) to gaming engine (Unity) pipelines.
