The attacks continued a pattern of nightly Russian strikes on cities, farms, and infrastructure far from the front line.In the Kyiv region, Russian drones sparked fires at a vehicle service station in the Bucha district, a sawmill in the Fastiv district, and a private house in the Obukhiv district. A warehouse strike in the Boryspil district injured a man. A later attack in the Obukhiv district injured a woman, regional governor Tymur Tkachenko said. Officials reported no damage in Kyiv city, which Russia had struck with ballistic missiles days earlier.In Chernihiv Oblast, Russian forces carried out 18 strikes with multiple rocket launchers and FPV drones. The attacks destroyed a hangar and damaged machinery and storage facilities at an agricultural enterprise in Semenivka. Cattle were injured, Governor Vyacheslav Chaus said.In Sumy Oblast, Russian forces carried out nearly 80 attacks on 20 settlements in 12 communities, using artillery, mortars, drones, and guided aerial bombs. A 38-year-old woman in the Sumy community and a 54-year-old man in the Khutir-Mykhailivskyi community were killed. Three people were injured, including a 14-year-old girl in Konotop.Along the eastern front, Russian forces struck Kharkiv city and 18 settlements across six districts of Kharkiv Oblast with missiles, guided bombs, and drones, injuring eight people, according to Governor Oleh Syniehubov. In the morning, a Russian drone struck a private house in Katerynivka, Lozova district, killing a woman and severely burning her 13-year-old son. Ukrainian forces repelled seven Russian attacks in the South Slobozhansky direction toward Tokarivka, Okhrimivka, Mykolaivka, and Vilcha, and six in the Kupiansk direction.In Donetsk Oblast, Russian strikes killed three people and injured 12, according to regional head Vadym Filashkin. In Kramatorsk, one person was killed, ten were injured, and 16 apartment buildings, five homes, and three schools were damaged. One person was killed in Andriivka and another in Mykilske, while two were injured in Druzhkivka. In Novodonetske, four 250-kilogram bombs damaged nine apartment buildings and two educational facilities.In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Russian forces attacked two districts more than ten times with guided bombs, artillery, and drones. In the Nikopol district, a residential building was damaged in the Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka communities, and a 20-year-old woman was hospitalized. In the Synelnykove district, an enterprise, a house, and cars were damaged.On the southern front, Russian forces carried out 1,003 strikes on 60 settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, including 19 airstrikes. Eight people were injured, and authorities received 85 reports of damage, said Ivan Fedorov, co-chair of the regional defense council. Overnight, Russian drones destroyed the Intrade shopping center in Zaporizhzhia city, set fire to a Zaporizhzhia National University building, and damaged 30 apartment buildings.In Kherson Oblast, Russian attacks on 45 settlements and Kherson city injured seven people, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin said. The attacks damaged two apartment buildings, six houses, a church, a museum, a bank, a supermarket, a gas pipeline, and a minibus. In Odesa Oblast, Russian strikes set fire to warehouses belonging to a supermarket chain. Governor Oleh Kiper reported no casualties. And Russia’s guided bombs, including its next-generation glide bomb, continue to cause casualties in frontline cities such as Kramatorsk and Novodonetske.Ukraine’s General Staff reported that Russia lost approximately 1,660 personnel over the previous 24 hours. Ukraine did not disclose its own losses.On the diplomatic front, President Donald Trump said on Truth Social that the United States is working on a “massive Deal” to purchase potash from Belarus at prices “substantially less than we are currently paying to Canada.” Belarus’s state-owned producer Belaruskali ranks among the world’s largest potash suppliers.Earlier this year, the United States asked Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine to allow Belarusian fertilizer to transit their territories. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he and Trump agreed to meet in New York after a phone call, as Washington pushes to end the war.In Germany’s Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state election, the Kremlin-friendly Alternative for Germany (AfD) took first place with 38.2 percent. Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s Christian Democrats received 4.9 percent, below the threshold for entering the state parliament. The AfD has called for cutting aid to Ukraine and resuming economic cooperation with Russia.
