Aga Khan Studs' homebred Rayevka (Blue Point) has been retired due to a setback after running third in the G3 Prix du Petit Couvert in September.Successful in the G3 Prix de Saint-Georges and Listed Prix Marchand d'Or in 15 starts, the daughter of the multiple stakes-placed Rayisa (Holy Roman Emperor) was placed in a pair of Group 1s: the 2025 Commonwealth Cup and the 2026 King Charles III Stakes, both at Royal Ascot. The Aga Khan Studs' Nemone Routh told Paris Turf, “She did not come back well from the Prix du Petit Couvert in which she finished third. So we decided to retire her to stud to become a broodmare. It's nothing serious, but she can't reappear this year and she's already a four-year-old.”A half-sister to the stable's G1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains and G1 Prix Jacques le Marois hero Rayif (Sea The Moon), Rayevka is also related to G3 Athasi Stakes winner Rehana (Dark Angel) and Rayeni (Indian Ridge). The latter was a group winner who was second in the G1 Irish 2000 Guineas. The post King Charles III Second Rayevka Retired After Setback appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
