Rio Ngumoha has been left out of England’s 23-man squad for their Nations League clash at Wembley.The Three Lions take on the world champions tonight in their first of four international fixtures over the next fortnight, live on talkSPORT.Ngumoha is the youngest player in the England squad for their Autumn internationalsGettyBut they will be without the youngest member of their group, with Ngumoha not being named in the matchday squad.The 18-year-old Liverpool starlet received his first-ever senior Three Lions call-up as he was named in Thomas Tuchel‘s initial 27-man squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures.That number has since dropped to 24 following five high-profile withdrawals – most notably Cole Palmer and Declan RiceWith UEFA rules only allowing 23 players to be put on the match day squad list, this meant one star had to be cut from the group.And Ngumoha was the unlucky player, who won’t be able to add to the maiden England cap he earned against New Zealand in June.This followed his inclusion in England’s pre-World Cup training camp, despite not featuring in their 26-man squad going to the tournament.Ngumoha and Liverpool teammate snubbedNgumoha isn’t the only Liverpool player who will play no part in the clash between England and Spain.On the other side, his club teammate Victor Munoz has been left out of La Roja’s matchday squad for the Wembley clash.According to UEFA’s matchday squad list, the Reds’ £34million summer signing is among three players left out by Luis de la Fuente, alongside Roberto Fernandez and Ivan Fresneda.Munoz made his Spain debut in March against Serbia and scored on his debut, and has since gone on to earn two senior caps.Victor Munoz didn’t feature at all for Spain in their World Cup triumphGettyThe winger was named in La Roja’s World Cup squad this summer, but was an unused substitute in all eight of their games as they went on the win the tournament in North America.Following international silverware, he moved to Anfield from Osasuna and has since looked to establish himself in the Premier League.Munoz has featured six times for Liverpool in all competitions this season, starting on three occasions.So far he has scored once and assisted once – opening his Reds account with a late equaliser in their 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest.Ngumoha’s England futureNgumoha’s omission from England’s matchday squad comes as a blow to the forward as he looks to force himself into Tuchel’s plans.The youngster has been a big hit with the national team after he impressed on his international debut in a pre-World Cup friendly, and was called up to the seniors for this Nations League campaign.Ngumoha looked a real livewire on his England debut against New Zealand in JuneGettySpeaking to talkSPORT earlier this week, Ngumoha revealed he is targeting a key role for England, which will see him battle the likes of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Gordon and Morgan Rogers for a starting berth on the left wing.He said: “I’ve just got to come here and show what I can do to everyone and just make sure everyone just understands who I am.“I’m not here just to be like a side part – I want to be a mainstay in the team and hopefully I can stay. “But there’s good competition everywhere.
