The funeral for Miriam Azzopardi, the 47-year-old woman who was found dead in a field in Marsa last week, has been announced for next Tuesday.“Whoever wants to attend my mother’s funeral, it will be on Tuesday 29th September, at 3.30pm, at Qormi’s San Ġorġ Church,” one of Miriam’s daughters announced on TikTok.“I’d like to thank whoever is going to be with us during such a difficult moment for me and my whole family,” her post continued. “Your presence, your words of comfort and your prayers mean a lot to us during this sad time.”“Mum, even though I can’t see, hug or listen to you again, you will keep living on in my heart forever,” Miriam’s daughter continued. “I will be giving you a final farewell with my heart broken, but with all the love I have for you. He has pleaded not guilty, with his lawyers not requesting bail. Police arrested Asare on Wednesday evening after investigators traced him using CCTV footage which caught him and Miriam entering the area together on Tuesday evening before he left alone an hour later.Rest In Peace Miriam.•
