A three-year-old girl has been seriously injured following a collision between a car and a van in Żabbar earlier today.Police were informed of the crash at around midday in Triq il-Kappuċċini, where preliminary investigations found that a Toyota Aygo and a Peugeot Expert van had collided.The Toyota was being driven by a 41-year-old woman from Qormi, with a 23-year-old woman from Żabbar and the three-year-old girl also inside the vehicle.The van was being driven by a 23-year-old Colombian man living in Gżira, while a 30-year-old Colombian man living in Sliema was travelling as a passenger.A medical team was called to the scene, with an ambulance taking the 23-year-old woman and the child to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment.The three-year-old was later certified as having suffered serious injuries, while the 23-year-old woman sustained slight injuries.Police investigations remain ongoing.•
