I don't know if this sub is the most appropriate for this kind of question, but since more than a few people here have rigs with 2 to 4 3090s, R9700s and RTX PRO 6000 GPUs with the CPUs likely idling during inference jobs, they may have had the same problem I currently have and want to ask for advice. Next week I will assemble a workstation with a 9950X, RTX PRO 6000 in a North XL case with 7x Noctua fans. I will not be doing CPU-offloading for inference and so, the CPU will be almost idling when the GPU will run at 100% utilization. Given this, I can not tune the fan curves according to CPU temperatures because the fans will be idling when the GPU needs the most airflow. There is the option of course to have the fans at 100% the entire time but I would rather avoid this. How to set the fan curves in this case?
