And Karl Robinson is free.“Now I think the fans might react to that badly because he’s just been sacked by a League Two side. “I think it’s a very harsh sacking, by the way. They lost one game, a playoff final, and that’s a basket case club. Robinson is interested in taking the job at League One strugglers PeterboroughGetty“So I think he’s been harshly treated by Salford, which is not unusual, and I actually think he’s a really good manager. “I think he understands the club, having played against them a lot of times. “My belief is this: The chairman should go to Karl Robinson and say to him, ‘Look, you start getting us on the front foot, get the team scoring goals, winning a few games, get us out of trouble, keep us up. And if it looks positive for next season, you will keep the job, and you’ll get yourself a two-year contract.’“Whether Karl will go for that, I don’t know. He might want the security of two or three years or whatever, but I wouldn’t be against that, to be honest. “Although he might go for a Dean Brennan at Barnet, or a Luke Garrard at Boreham Wood.”
