Ingolstadt have sacked Sabrina Wittmann as manager just six months after handing her a new two-year deal.The 3. Liga and was rewarded with a new contract through to 2028 in March.The move came after Wittmann completed her UEFA Pro Licence two months earlier.Following the decision to sack her, Wittmann released a statement via the club’s media channels.She said: “I would have loved to continue and continue the journey with a team full of exceptional characters.Wittmann became the first female head coach of a professional men’s club in Germany in 2024Getty“Unfortunately, the necessary trust is no longer there, and the club has opted for a different solution.“Ingolstadt was more than just any club to me.
