That record came last season when he scored 11 goals for Oxford United across 44 Championship appearances.There is little doubt he will surpass that total at his current rate, and following his latest outing with England U21s, Lankshear admitted he feels unstoppable in front of goal.He told Sun Sport: “Every single time I step onto the pitch, I feel like I’m going to score. I worked really, really hard in the off-season. It did not quite work out at Spurs, but I found my way to Middlesbrough.“I found myself in the best possible position to be in for a young striker. I’m getting minutes and I’m learning every single day.”His success has naturally drawn comparisons with Harry Kane given his Tottenham roots.
