Would this topology pass a portfolio review for a junior game artist?

Wait 5 sec.

I am creating a game asset, a sci-fi gun shown in image 1, and wanted to ask and know if my geometry is good or if I need to work again as it's too dense ( SHOWN IN IMAGE 2 ) I tried making it in quad as this fully gun in hardsurface. Still I am working on this gun but needed confirmation as my guts were telling that it's a bit messy, although it's in quad but, it's hard surface sub d model. The geometry was going too dense to I tried making it in this way as manageable.(Marked area in red) I didn't make it, it was going to affect all over gun geometry, so I really reduced the 3 edges into 1, making it Quad. I know even such a quad model ain't gonna be usable in games as it's high poly, because we need a normal map to use for lowpoly assets for optimization. But I am making a portfolio piece. So is it good to go? Image 3 shows overall topology, and a lot of minor details, work and overall polishing remains. And I am a newbie to the industry as a way newbie, even for a junior 3D artist or intern you can say. It doesn't matter although but for you guys to judge based on role. Thanks guys for your advice and critiques. submitted by /u/Hungry_Spot4874 [link] [comments]
