27B is a serious case of the technical/trial demo being good enough that average users don't need the paid product. And even when people need the paid product, like an orchestrator or an advanced fubar untangler, I see that western frontier models are the preferred pick for those scenarios anyways. So as much as western AI companies are hemorrhaging money, I can't image the Chinese companies are doing any better. If anything, they are likely doing far worse since they aren't even making money in APIs. And certainly I think this explains why 122ba10b didn't get more releases. The knowledge breadth of that thing basically makes it a superior chat companion, while the 27b eats up the agentic tasks, and boom no one needs cloud models anymore.
