Police detectives have searched the home of Vincent Arnold Nsamba, the prime suspect in the death of legendary musician Moses Matovu, as investigations into the incident continue.The search was conducted on Friday, September 25, 2026, a day after Matovu was fatally attacked in the Kibuli suburbs of Kampala District.According to preliminary investigations, detectives recovered a jacket, shirt and trousers that Nsamba is alleged to have worn on Thursday when Matovu was attacked.Nsamba reportedly fled the scene shortly after the incident but was later arrested in a hideout in Ocheng Ward, Yesu Amala, Nansana Division, Wakiso District, following a joint security operation.Police said Nsamba’s mother was first arrested and helped detectives trace her son to the location where he was hiding.Preliminary findings indicate that Matovu was attacked after he reportedly tried to intervene when Nsamba was allegedly assaulting Rose Tusiime, whom Nsamba is said to have claimed as his girlfriend.Righteous Ariho, grandson of Dr. Kizza Besigye, dies in hospital ICUKampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Racheal Kawala said on Thursday that Matovu had gone to Tusiime’s residence at around 5:30 a.m.It is alleged that as he left the rental in the company of the lady, they were confronted by a male suspect (Nsamba) reported to have an affair with the same lady.She added that preliminary reports suggested the incident may have followed a physical altercation, but said the exact circumstances surrounding the confrontation and Matovu’s subsequent death were still being established.Police investigations remain ongoing as detectives work to establish the full circumstances of the incident.The post Police search home of Moses Matovu murder suspect appeared first on MBU.
