Singer Daxx Kartel has weighed in on the current state of fellow creatives in the music industry labeling many of them as ‘artists’ and not ‘musicians.’“We’ve very few musicians in Uganda. Most of us are just performing artists.”He says the Ugandan music industry has a very limited number of musicians but over crowded with only performing artists and went ahead to describe and define who a ‘musician’ and ‘artist’ is. “Musician means someone or a creative who knows how to play instruments not just singing alone. A person who just sings is not a musician, those are simply artists. We also have recording artists. Those are not also good at performing.
